Race Relations/Diversity Advisory Panel Terms of Reference Attend the Equality of Service Management Group and Equal Opportunities Working Party within Bedfordshire Police and report back to the full Police Authority on any issues Monitor performance indicators and targets for both the Authority and Police Service Race Equality Schemes, reporting back annually to the full Police Authority Review both Schemes on an annual basis and report back to the full Police Authority Receive any relevant issues identified by the Complaints & Professional Standards Committee concerning Bedfordshire Police and Chief Officers Report annually to the full Police Authority on our own recruitment procedures The Group would therefore effectively ensure: Compliance with the provisions of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000 Equality of opportunity and good race relations are advanced during the life of the Schemes Improvements upon what we have already achieved can be identified Lack of progress is identified and acted upon Consultation undertaken to monitor public perception and satisfaction is maintained and acted upon.
